Description:
The Todd County Sheriff’s Office operates a 52 bed Detention Center that holds inmates on a variety of charges. Some of the inmates are serving sentences and others are being held while they await their court appearances. The Detention Center also holds inmates for other Counties that either do not have their own jail or do not have adequate space for their own inmates. The Detention Center has four dormitory style cells and four cellblocks that have individual cells. Some of these cells have bunks and can hold two inmates; the others are single rooms. Additionally, there are four holding cells, an interview room for inmates who are in custody, and a booking room. The inmates are monitored by Corrections Officers through the use of video surveillance cameras and physical checks. Doors throughout the facility are constantly monitored and controlled in two different locations in the facility. Inmates are served three meals a day
